“Abundance comes from within. It comes from thought, intention, attention, and expectation.” – Deepak Chopra
Here I am in Machu Picchu, Peru last year. I am standing on the top of a ruin doing my Coca-leaf blessing to the Apu’s (mountains) surrounding me. As I was deep in my meditation and honoring the area, a llama came right next to me and participated because animals instinctively know how to hang out in this state.
What is this state and how do you get there? I believe it is our natural state of being. A calm, centered, grounded, vital state of being, and I learned to tap in to this state 40 years ago with meditation.
I started meditating to improve my performance as a professional triathlete. It had a powerful effect on my performance with over 100 first place finishes. I thought I was meditating to improve my racing times, but actually, it improved every area of my life. The simple practice of sitting and turning inward opened my mind and heart to a whole new world of possibilities.
As I practiced meditation (my twice-a-day 20-min TM practice), my workouts changed. My body changed. My mind changed. My life changed. As I became more mindful, I became more PLAYFUL! More JOYFUL! Every workout became a chance to feel my breath and tune into “an attitude of gratitude.” We get what we focus on, so by focusing on less and learning how to slow down, I was able to feel into what was “more”…more meaningful, more in line with my goals and dreams, and more expansive. Everyone is an athlete, and I was able to find my inner coach instead of the inner critic. Anything is possible. Meditation works.
That is why I feel that during this seasonal transition, Covid-Crazy, intense time, it would be really meaningful (and fun!) to do a 21-day guided meditation practice. This will help you stay healthy; it will help you calm down; it will help you find inner peace and meaning.
Ayurvedic coach, yogi, and incredible chef Amanda Terry and I will facilitate the program, and it will run over WhatsApp with daily audio meditations by Deepak Chopra accompanied by explanations, mantras, and small tasks.
So what is this 21-day abundance meditation program?
As we transition through seasons, many things change, not just the weather. We start to look for nourishment in other ways, outside of the Sun, our primary provider for the last months. This time of transition is a great time to introduce new practices that help unlock our inner knowledge, as things quiet down we are finally getting a chance to hear what needs to be expressed. For this reason, I feel that is a great time to invite all of you beautiful ladies to participate in Deepak Chopra’s 21 Days of Abundance meditation series. Based on short meditations and journal prompts, Deepak’s program gives us the key to unlocking our abundance. This meditation program is designed to help you cultivate a mindset of abundance and prosperity.
Deepak will guide us, helping us to explore our inner world and expand our understanding of what the consciousness of abundance means. During the first week we will learn what true abundance is, where it comes from, and how consciousness and mind affect it. In the second week, we will learn how abundance relates to the seven spiritual laws of success. During the last week of our experience, Deepak will share secrets of how to start living in abundance right now, giving us the building blocks to start the change.
“Affluence, unboundedness, and abundance are our natural states. We need only to restore the memory of what we already know.” – Deepak Chopra
