Discover Why Tuscany Keeps Calling Me Back

People often ask me,

“Of all the Women’s Quest adventures around the world… which is your favorite?”

Without hesitation, my answer has always been…

Tuscany.

Not because it’s Italy.

Not because of the incredible food, the world-class wines, or the breathtaking scenery.

Those are certainly wonderful.

But what keeps calling me back, year after year, is something much harder to describe.

Tuscany changes your rhythm.

Somewhere between the first cappuccino in the morning, the winding roads lined with ancient cypress trees, and the laughter shared around long tables with dear friends, something begins to soften.

You stop checking the time.

You stop rushing.

You remember how good life is supposed to feel.

The Italians have two beautiful expressions that perfectly describe this way of living.

La Dolce Vita—the sweetness of life.

And Il Dolce Far Niente—the sweetness of doing nothing.

Not laziness.

But giving yourself permission to linger a little longer over lunch. To stop and admire a vineyard glowing in the afternoon sun. To sit beside the pool with a good book. To laugh until dinner becomes dessert and dessert becomes another story.

That is Tuscany.

Ride Through a Living Postcard

Each morning we begin with gentle yoga before climbing onto our comfortable E-bikes.

Don’t let the word “bike” intimidate you.

Our E-bikes make the rolling hills of Tuscany accessible to almost everyone, and we divide into small groups so everyone rides at a pace that feels joyful and relaxed.

Every day is different.

One day we’re cycling through vineyards that seem to stretch forever.

Another day we’re exploring medieval villages where flower-filled stone streets lead to tiny cafés serving the best cappuccino you’ve ever tasted.

Another afternoon we’re stopping for homemade gelato before continuing along quiet country roads that seem unchanged for centuries.

The journey is never about miles.

It’s about moments.

Friends Who Have Become Family

One of the greatest gifts of Tuscany is the people.

Over the years, our local guides, winemakers, artists, chefs, and hotel owners have become part of the Women’s Quest family.

We’ll enjoy a private lunch and wine tasting with our dear friend Giovanni Chiappini, whose winery produces some of the region’s exceptional wines.

We’ll spend an unforgettable afternoon at artist Rolando Stefanacci’s remarkable estate, wandering sculpture gardens, soaking in natural hot springs, sharing stories, and enjoying what many women say is one of the best lunches of the entire week.

We’ll stroll through magnificent Siena with a local guide who brings centuries of history to life.

We’ll visit wineries, olive groves, charming villages, and hidden corners of Tuscany that most travelers never discover.

By the end of the week, you’ll feel less like a tourist…

and more like you’ve been welcomed into an Italian family.

The Sweetness of Living Well

Of course there is incredible food.

Fresh olive oil.

Homemade pasta.

Local cheeses.

Brunello wines.

Farm-to-table meals prepared with love.

But Tuscany offers something even more nourishing.

It reminds us that life isn’t measured by how much we accomplish.

It’s measured by how deeply we experience it.

And perhaps that’s why I continue to return.

Every year Tuscany reminds me how I want to live—not just while I’m in Italy, but when I return home.

If your heart has been longing for beauty, laughter, meaningful connection, wonderful women, and a week where life slows down just enough for you to hear yourself think again…

I hope you’ll join me.

I’d love to share my favorite place in the world with you.
