The Heart-Centered Spirit of Cacao
On Monday, February 8th, Jenna Barnes led us through an awesome ceremony where we learned about the spirit of cacao! We dove into how cacao has been used, where it grows, how it is processed and all of the amazing benefits!

It’s all about CACAO! Sweet, satisfying, AND good for you? You know how we do. We’ll blend up the perfect hot chocolate and make simple yet complex-tasting cacao cookies that make you feel like you’re a true vixen. Full of aphrodisiac power, healthy fats, and herbs for opening the heart, you’ll feel inspired for Valentine’s Day. This is what desserts are supposed to do: turn you on!
Herbs/Medicinal Plants: Raw cacao nibs
Infusion Blend: Rose Petals, Damiana
1) Hot chocolate:
you will need:
1/2 cup raw cacao nibs
3 cups hot water (boil water, then let it cool for 10 minutes)
2 T rose petals
1 T damiana
We will create this aphrodisiac elixir and hold our own ceremony to connect to our bodies and to these magical plants.
2) Cacao Nib Cookies:
you will need:
1/2 cup cacao nib blended + strained (we will use this from our hot chocolate drink)
2 T chia seeds
1/4 cup raw cane sugar
1 T coconut oil
Mix these ingredients into a dark dough, drop onto a cookie sheet, and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Enjoy!
