Vicki Hunter

Vicki Hunter

Vicki Hunter is a certified Foundation Training Instructor as well as a Certified Lydiard Running Coach. She coaches athletes of all levels and abilities but is particularly attuned to the needs of ultra-runners. She qualified for the 1988 Olympic Marathon Trials in a time of 2:49:24 at the 1987 Twin Cities Marathon. She has run the Pikes Peak Marathon a total of 12 times placing as high as 3rd overall female. She still competes in races ranging from 5k to 50 miles. Vicki holds her Ph.D in Political Science and is now retired from the University of Colorado where she taught for 23 years.

Having experienced many injuries herself, including a life-threatening car accident when pregnant with her first child, she has devoted her second career as a movement specialist to helping people move better. She lives In Boulder, Colorado during the summer and fall and in Kona, HI in the winter months, with her husband, Brian.
