Join us for Book Notes with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor!

Hello Questers and friends! Please join us on May 21st at 5pm MDT for a rare opportunity to be up close and personal with an extraordinary thought leader of our time: Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor.

We have the incredible chance to enjoy insights from my good friend, wonder woman, and fellow Quester in a small and personal atmosphere on Zoom. Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor will share insights about the brain, anxiety, and how finding Peace is just a thought away.
Jill and I grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, but I lived in North Terre Haute and Jill lived in South Terre Haute. Our families have known each other for a long time, but Jill and I rekindled our friendship when she was the keynote speaker at an event I was attending. We caught up and laughed for hours at our similarities – we look alike, we talk alike, we act alike. Jill is an avid swimmer and water-skier, and she now lives on her boat in Kentucky with her bounty of toys – from kayaks to paddleboards to water bikes – as she works on her new book.
Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a trained and published neuroanatomist. In 1996, she experienced a hemorrhage in the left hemisphere of her brain, causing her to lose much of her physical and thinking abilities. She was, effectively, studying her own stroke from the inside out as it happened, and it would take eight years to fully recover. Now, she is the author of the New York Times bestseller, My Stroke of Insight: A Brain Scientist’s Personal Journey, and has spoken about her experience on platforms such as TED Talk and Oprah’s Soul Series web-cast. She was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2008 and continues to share her powerful story and findings on brain recovery.
